That's why, at every gathering, we greet one another with the words:
Every Ogonyok is a collective experiment: we explore new ways of creating and interacting with one another. We build a futuristic temporary city and become its residents for a few days. There, we feel at home as we get in touch with our free, creative nature.
Our main event is Ogonyok, a summer festival. Art installations, architecture, theater, music, performances, costumes, theme camps, ideas — each participant shares their inner fire with others. This is how the flame of our shared creative experience is kindled.
Russian Burners is a Russian-speaking creative community inspired by Burning Man, a global cultural movement that now spans more than 30 countries.
We are united by a shared belief in Radical Self-expression and by our commitment to putting it into practice. We believe that the experience of bringing creative ideas to life expands our sense of ourselves and the world, and can spark inspiration in others.
There are no spectators here — everyone takes part.
